I first saw Amy Adler's work at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego many years ago when I was probably still in college. Her "Director" series was being exhibited and the work continues to stick with me over all these years. The pieces are subtle -- faint pastel drawings on white canvas -- which draw you into them by necessity in order to see them.
